Dad's Latest Car
My old man just returned his Toyota 4Runner and is on the lookout to rent a new one. He already made clear that the previous SUV was not very kind on his back and also that the engine capacity was more than he wanted… So he's on the lookout for a 4 cylinder or a diminutive 6, and it has to be SUV given that he does surfing, etc… plus it's the only large vehicle in the family, I borrowed his SUV numerous times to relocate things all over the place because I drive a Toyota Prius and my wife a Beetle.
Anyhow, the cost; it's definitely under US $30k taking into account taxes & fees.
He liked the GMC Acadia, but it does not have a sufficient amount bite, the Turbo variant has admirable muscle and drives great, but for that much he opines he can get something else.
He received a splendid bargain at turbocharged 4-cylinder engine 200-hp 2.0-liter Volkswagen Passat … but he has a reliability concern as our Audi Q7 and VW Beetle were constantly facing problems. I told him that through a 24-month charter he shouldn't have any troubles (as opposed to driving the Audi like he did for around 4 years).
Then there is the recent Kia Sorento, a very enjoyable vehicle, one can smell superiority all over if you are to explore this vehicle… He also said that he would have purchased the car already if it wasn't because the salesman being such a douchebag… I think inculing taxes it gets to $30k or so, although he does seem to be fond of the vehicle a lot.
He drove the Toyota Highlander (4 cylinders) and opined that it handled quite badly… I could not inspect that one, nevertheless he does look to be certain that his new car won't be a Toyota.
Any propositions? k to k or so? The Nissan Rogue is a bad choice and as a result I told him not to bother inspecting that, also the Lexus GX470 is too steep.
